Ashok is a Partner at 1823 Partners where he oversees asset management with a focus on opportunistic private credit and asset-backed finance. He has over 20 years of investing and advisory experience in corporate and specialty finance.

Previously, Ashok was a Senior Portfolio Manager at American Equity Investment Life (NYSE: AEL), where he was responsible for managing and structuring over $3 billion of private corporate credit commitments. Before AEL, Ashok was a Managing Principal at Allstate Investments, where he focused on special situations corporate and asset finance on behalf of insurance clients. Earlier in his career, Ashok served in senior investing roles at GE Capital and Macquarie Capital.

Ashok earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's degree from INSEAD.
