David Gaito is head of Direct Lending in the High Income and Alternatives division at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries, and individuals.

In this role, David is responsible for leading the firm’s middle - market direct lending platform within High Income and Alternatives. He manages the strategy, portfolio construction, and investment outcomes of Fidelity's direct lending business. David leads a team of nearly 50 investment professionals focused on sourcing and underwriting directly originated investments across the middle market. David co-manages all Direct Lending funds and is based in Chicago.

Prior to joining Fidelity, David spent more than two decades at PNC Financial Services, where he served in executive leadership roles and developed deep experience across market cycles in middle-market lending. David joined Fidelity in 2021 and has been in the financial industry since 1999. David earned his Bachelor of Science from St. Vincent’s College.
