Gurvinder Singh
Gurvinder Singh is the CEO and Co-Founder of Indus Valley Partners (IVP), where he has led the firm’s growth into a global leader in technology and solutions for the alternative asset management industry.
A graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an OPM alumnus of Harvard Business School, Gurvinder began his career in object-oriented design and consulting, later joining Sapient. There, he played a pivotal role in expanding Sapient’s footprint in the UK, establishing Sapient India on a self- funded basis, and delivering major transformation initiatives, including a re-engineering project for Dun & Bradstreet’s European operations. During this time, he also contributed to the incubation of the FIX protocol, now a widely adopted industry standard for electronic trading.
In 2000, Gurvinder co-founded IVP with the vision of helping capital markets firms harness technology to achieve measurable business outcomes, improving scalability, efficiency, and reliability while reducing costs. Over the past two decades, he has built IVP into a trusted partner for the world’s leading hedge funds, private funds, and credit firms.
With deep expertise at the intersection of technology, process, and business transformation, Gurvinder is known for his focus on innovation that avoids “paving the cow path,” instead driving fundamental change to operating models. His career is defined by founding and scaling Sapient UK, Sapient India, and ultimately IVP, where he continues to guide the firm’s evolution in an era of AI-driven transformation across the buy side.
