Speakers

Mr. Bauer is a managing director and co-portfolio manager within Oaktree’s European Private Debt strategy.  He joined Oaktree in 2025 from Permira Credit, where he served as Co-Head of the Direct Lending investment team and was a member of the investment committee.  Prior to that, he worked on Citigroup’s Leveraged Finance team in London, having started his career in Citigroup’s Zurich office.  Mr. Bauer holds a B.Sc. in business administration and management from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and an M.Sc. in international and corporate finance from Durham University.  He is a native German speaker.
